UNICODE CHARACTERS

When designing applications that make use of text messaging (SMS), developers must be aware of several character-sets that can be used to transmit information.

Unicode characters

The characters shown below cannot be sent to mobile/cell phones unless those phones support Unicode. Most European and American phones DO NOT support Unicode. Sending Unicode characters limits the length of the entire message sent.
